Direct Way also collects credit card information, including card number, card type, cardholder name, and expiration date, in order to guarantee your reservation or to bill you for prepaid reservations. Phone or Fax Reservation

When a reservation is made using the phone or the fax, Direct Way collects personal information such as your full name, contact information and email address. Direct Way also collects credit card information, including card number, card type, cardholder name, and expiration date, in order to guarantee your reservation or to bill you for prepaid reservations.

Other information collected

Information is collected automatically every time you visit our website. Our website collects information about your computer and assigns you a “cookie” (a small, unique identifier text file) when you visit “directway.be”. You do not provide this information – it is collected automatically as a mean of supporting your visit to our website.

How we store and protect your credit card information – Security Section

 

“direcway.be is a safe and secure online environment. Our system is configured with data encryption and industry-standard firewalls. When you send personal information to “directway.be” over the Internet, your data is protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure safe transmission.

Our SSL solution verifies our identity to your browser and encrypts any data you give us when you buy, including financial information such as credit card numbers. Our SSL certificate encryption level is 128-bit/256-bit. Whenever we ask for financial information, you can check that SSL is being used by looking for a closed padlock symbol or other trust mark in your browser URL bar or toolbar.

  1. We keep your financial information encrypted on the servers of Braintree (a division of PayPal) or other reputable payment service providers.
  2. Access to your information is restricted to authorised staff only.
  3.  If we request from you financial information, we shall show partial detail e.g. the first four or the last four digits of the credit card numbers, only enough to identify the card to which we refer.

Direct Way may be required to provide information to legal authorities if they so request and have the proper authorizations such as a search warrant or a Court order.

 

Credit reference

To assist Governments and financial authorities in combating fraud, we share information with credit reference agencies, as far as such information relate to clients who instruct their credit card issuer to cancel payments to us without having at first provided us with an acceptable reason for payment cancellation and/or given us the opportunity to refund their money.

 

Sale, rent and disclosure of data

Except as specified above, we do not rent, sell or otherwise disclose any of your information to third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

 

How can you access, update and/or delete your data?
